I was watching NBC Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and the guest was a doctor talking about the 10 healthy habits of healthy moms and how we should reclaim our joys as women and not feel guilty.

Thank you – finally the truth about how guilty we feel and why we must come first (although it’s a daily practice for me).

Let me be honest with you and say that I countdown to 8:30pm each night to begin Act II.

For me – 8:30pm is that magic bedtime number when my kids are getting ready for bed or already in a sweet slumber and mommy can have a PRIVATE P-A-R-T-Y!

Yes, I love my children, however, like you – work, meetings, reviewing homework, taking Sofia/Sebastian to after-school activities, and enjoying a uniquely different bedtime routine for my kids (ages 3.5 and 11)– is a lot on most days.
Mommy needs her medicine most nights after 8:30pm when the kids are sleeping – my favorite glass of Sebeka red wine.
Here is what happens after 8:30pm for this mommy:

1) I take a deep breath and thank God for my family
2) Face time with my hubby
3) A relaxation bath with Vera Moore Spa set (sugar scrub is the joint)

4) Write in my journal
5) TV (General Hospital on SoapNet OR The Game/Law & Order/The Good Wife)
6) Review my vision board and meditate
7) Prayers and play a CD to help me savor the moments of the day.

It's All About Brows

Some eyebrow arching methods can be a bit painful.

Which Brow Shaping Method Works For You?
Tweezing, waxing, and threading are slightly painful methods for brow shaping. However, with these three slightly uncomfortable procedures, hairs do grow back slower. And, inevitably, a little discomfort means fewer trips to the salon. Make it a point to select a professional for brow waxing and threading. Have your eyebrows shaped several days before a special occasion, so there won’t be any unpleasant surprises.

Shaping Brows At Home
When shaping brows at home, always sanitize utensils before and after usage with an antiseptic like witch hazel. Sally Hansen Total Control Tweezers give you the advantage you need while tweezing with a comfortable grip handle. Start under the center of the brow line by wiping area with a cotton ball saturated with antiseptic, to avoid infection. Apply Vaseline or a cream emollient to soften (optional). Using tweezers, remove hair in the direction in which it grows, with a quick motion.
Apply an astringent after tweezing has been completed to contract the tweezed area.
Once you’ve obtained a brow shape that enhances your facial features - Brush brows up and out with N.Y.C. Browblender Brow & Liner pencil in Black Velvet or Brown.
